DESCRIPTION:Join us for a vibrant cultural celebration presented in collaboration between OBONO and VIET! The event will feature a live demonstration on how to prepare the beloved Vietnamese dessert\, Chè Thái\, along with a sampling of other traditional Vietnamese snacks. Families are welcome—there will be a fun and interactive crafting activity for kids. Plus\, we’re honored to welcome E.M. Tran\, acclaimed author of Daughters of the New Year\, who will give a special reading of food-themed excerpts from her book. Come savor the flavors and stories of Vietnam in this unique\, community-centered gathering! \nThis event is free and open to the public. All are welcome. \nThe East New Orleans Regional Library is accessible to community members requiring mobility-related ADA accommodations. There is a free parking lot next to the library. The bus lines with a stop near the library are 61\, 62\, 9; the nearest RTA stop is Read at Methodist Hospital (84 yards away\, 2 min walk). \nSpecial thanks to the New Orleans Public Library and the New Orleans Recreation and Culture Fund for their support of this event.
